仕事内容
The Business Communications Manager, based in Tokyo and reporting to the Senior Regional Marketing & Communications Manager in London, will provide strategic and tactical support on our business communications with clients in Japan.

This individual will work closely with other members of the Investor Services Global Marketing & Communications team to support internal and external communication activities across relevant services in Tokyo. This individual will liaise with local teams to gain an understanding of the service process and the messaging required for client conversations, to help the Tokyo team deliver accurate client communications, as well as adapting global materials to local requirements. The main focus will be on presentation materials and thought leadership pieces.

This position will also support priority projects of Global Marketing & Communications team, such as brand management, coordination for industry conference, and digital support.

This individual is required to help execute client events and industry conference participation in Tokyo, liaising with the local Enterprise Services team, including coordinating the deliverables for engaging the audience pre, during and post event, and ensuring brand consistency.

The Business Communications Manager should have financial services knowledge, be an excellent communicator, skilled in writing messaging and talking points, as well as having translation experience from English into Japanese. This individual should be confident in dealing with all levels of management, action oriented and results driven, able to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines. The role will be supported by central resources for graphic design, marketing & communications, and compliance.

Thought Leadership
・Provide competitive analysis of thought leadership trends
・Coordinate strategic topics with internal stakeholders in Tokyo to manage locally produced content, working closely with Market Intelligence
・Work together with the Global thought leadership function to execute global initiatives’, adapting content to the local market including translating or managing the translation of content
・Provide feedback to Global Strategic Planning Group on any major trends relevant to Japan
・Plan and manage the publication of thought leadership communications in Japan

Presentation Development
・Create and maintain presentations and servicing materials for our clients in Japan, including translation/review of translation, writing and editing content.
・Ensure consistent and accurate messaging
・Ensure all material is up to date and available on our global resources infrastructure
・Ensure quality control of materials and adherence to global branding
・Translate or manage the translation of content
・Ensure Compliance approval for all external presentation materials

Relationship Management and Product Communications
・Attend local client servicing prep and feedback sessions to understand what works, what does not, to make informed suggestions for on-going requirements.
・Support local training initiatives from a communications perspective.
・Understand the local market to ensure our communications are relevant.

Industry Conferences & the company's Events
・Work closely with the Tokyo Enterprise Services team and other Global Marketing functions to ensure successful our company's conference participation and successful our company's client events. This may include:
・Coordinating event strategy and execution
・Advising on client materials
・Drafting scripts, talking points and presentations

Digital Communications
・Salesforce – support the teams in Tokyo with maintaining salesforce
・Marketo – manage the production of client communications using the Marketo email tool
・Support the website team to update Japanese language webpages
・Assist the production of any videos (internal or external), working with creative services.

RoI/Budget Management
・Help integrate and monitor key performance indicators to demonstrate the effectiveness of communications
・Identify, source and record any relevant local statistics and analytics for client servicing conversations
・Manage the business communications budget for Tokyo
・Manage the business communications strategic and tactical planning for Japan
必要経験
・Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
・Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
・Fluent English required
・Native Japanese speaker with fluent English
・Experience in a Marketing function and working in a global environment
・Some previous experience in the financial services industry
・High proficiency with Microsoft office products including excellent PowerPoint skills
・Experience in financial translation from English to Japanese
・Excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly an ability to write and edit copy in business/formal Japanese and English
・Excellent client service and team collaboration skills
・Strong attention to detail
・Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
・Creativity and enthusiasm essential!
