Primary Objectives:
・Support development of new products for Japanese clients with an initial focus on Retail business
・Execute product development initiatives for local ITM platform for retail and Institutional channels and support execution activities for Japan client sponsored launches in other domiciles
・Review profitability, adequacy and strategic fit of existing and future products
・Keep local teams appraised of progress on PS&D initiatives
・[Manage] and develop local product strategy and development team
・Support and maintain reports and analysis to show industry trends and our product offering
・Monitor regulatory trends and anticipate business impacts/identify opportunities from upcoming changes
・Support short and long-term product strategy plans and discussions
Principal Responsibilities:
・Lead execution of product launches, liquidations and changes
・Communication with key stakeholders of progress of various initiatives, including new product ideas
・Capturing of various product ideas and maintaining PD pipeline database
・Supporting [and managing] local team
・Building and maintaining data/reports to support decisions for PS&D
Main Stakeholders:
・Clients and Consultants (as required)
・Client teams (daily)
・Operations and Fund Administration (daily)
・Investment team SPM and Heads (Daily/Weekly)
・Senior Management of ABJ (Monthly)
・Auditors (As needed)
・Finance Teams (Weekly)
・Legal for product launch and reengineering (daily)
・Control Functions : Risk Management, Compliance and Audit (weekly)
・Local Regulators (as required)
・Global PS&D daily/weekly - 必要経験

Key Skill Areas & knowledge Required:
・Successful exposure to bond and/or equity portfolio management/product management at least 5 years in banks or asset managers.
・Successful track record in supporting investment products launches in Japan for at least 5 years
・Perfect knowledge on Japanese Asset Management market and regulatory framework
・Fluent in English and in Japanese
・Knowledgeable about Japanese retail distribution. Preferably, wholesale experience in Japan
・Knowledgeable on Japanese regulations and customs
・Knowledge of global asset management business and non-Japan domiciled products (for use in Japan)
・Capability and desire to drive strategic product discussions and decisions - 予定年収
