The purpose of the role is to conduct the operational function relating to ITMs and segregated accounts and also managing on-boarding for launching a new ITM fund as GCO Manager.
Responsibilities include:
- Management and resolution of operational issues pertaining to Japanese ITM Funds and segregated accounts, including (but not limited to) items relating to NAV Calculation, Trade Support, Pricing, Reconciliation, Corporate Actions, Collateral Processing, Cash Management, Fund of Fund Instructions, Financial Statements and Regulatory Reporting
- Liaising with Investment Operations, PMG and Investment Treasury to resolve any issues
- Oversight of outsourced agent for Japanese ITM Funds
- Monitoring of vendor KPIs / SLAs and tracking / escalating associated breaches
- Providing Japanese market expertise and operational decision making based on local knowledge / experience
- Ensuring local operational processes are implemented and executed in compliance both with local rules / policies and global operational policies
- Articulating the difference of scheme in Japan and the importance of no penny difference / no overdraft / no late instruction for Japanese clients to associates in Baltimore / London / Hong Kong
- Process building in Tokyo Operations for ITM funds and separate accounts
- Managing on-boarding for a new ITM fund setup.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Day-to-Day Operational Processes with Accuracy
2. Oversight ITM Fund Accounting Agent
3. Liaison with Investment Operation, PMG and Investment Treasury
4. Trouble Shooting for both ITM and IA accounts
5. ITM related regulatory reporting accuracy check
6. Miscellaneous project work - 必要経験

・Native Japanese speaker
・Fluent in English both verbally and in writing
・10 years experience in Investment Operations at asset management company
・Knowledge of process and requirements for public pension clients and Japan Investment Trust Fund under Japanese Trust Bank scheme
・Strong interpersonal skills
・Ability to work closely with other teams - 予定年収
