仕事内容
The Role: As the Director, Research Science Japan, you will lead a team of data scientists and oversee the methodology, statistical modeling and quality of our research in the Japan market. Our company conducts independent market research that benchmarks customer satisfaction in a variety of industries. You and your team will ensure that these benchmarking studies are scientifically sound and represent the latest approaches to customer research and analysis. You will be responsible for the scientific design of our surveys and sample plans. Using our company's best practices and internal standards, you will ensure data is cleaned appropriately, scored using our algorithms and summarized in final client deliverables. Your team will work with our business units to determine the key drivers of customer satisfaction as well as other insights for our clients. Finally, you advise internal and external clients on survey and sample design as well as statistical modeling and its application.

The Impact: Your role is critical to the success of our Japan office. You are expected to promote and defend our methodology and ensure that the research is independent and of high integrity. The outcome of your work will be used by clients to help them understand what is important to consumers, how their brand performs relative to their competition, what their brand needs to do to improve and the financial benefit of making these improvements.

Responsibilities:
• Analysis and Statistical Modeling: Perform multivariate statistical analysis on survey data using Python/R/SAS. Python experience preferred.
• Leads research statistical model development, scientific computing and computational automation development projects, and analysis of quantitative model results to demonstrate drivers of customer satisfaction, top performers, and other key insights to drive better business outcomes for our clients.
• Consultation: Provide research methodology/statistical consultation to internal our teams as well as external clients. Provide interpretation of study results. Provide research/analytical support for new business opportunities.
• Manages a team of two staff and provides insight and coaching on complex, non-routine problems/tasks, applying current trends and research in solutions
• Leads new study and study redesign methodological development
• Validates and applies our research standards to questionnaire design
• Validates and applies our research standards to sample plan design "
• Creates research rules and standards specific to the Japanese market.
必要経験
• Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Psychology or related social science fields (Masters or PhD preferred)
• Conversational and written English skills
• An advanced understanding of Multivariate Statistics, Research Design, Measurement Theory, Attitudinal Research
• Statistical packages—Python (preferred), R, SAS, SPSS
• Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively in a team oriented, global, and multi-cultural environment.
• Management experience (5+ years)
• 10+ years in a quantitative analytics role or related experience
