This is a leadership position based in Tokyo, reporting to the Regional Head of Japan and with a dotted reporting line to the Group CFO. The role is pivotal in managing the financial health of the Japan platform as it scales toward a multi-billion-dollar AUM target.
Core Responsibilities
SPC Accounting, Closing & Audit Coordination:
•Act as key finance contact for internal and external stakeholders (auditors, service providers, HQ)
•Lead and oversee SPC-level accounting across all Japan entities (GK-TK, TMK, trust structures)
•Manage end-to-end closing processes across varying cycles (monthly / quarterly / annual)
•Coordinate with external SPC accounting firms and perform true-up adjustments
•Act as the primary Japan point of contact for Group audit requests, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial data and supporting documentation
•Coordinate with external AMC and service providers for TMK audit-related matters
•Ensure all Japan entity financials are accurate, well-documented, and audit-ready for Group consolidation
•Ensure alignment between SPC financials, investor reporting, and internal management reporting
•Support financial data preparation for investor reporting (NOI, cash flow, etc.)
Financial Data Integrity & Cross-Functional Coordination:
•Oversee end-to-end financial reporting flow across cross-functional teams, including: AM/PM: PMR & cash transactions / IM: investor reporting / Finance: SPC accounting)
•Validate trust bank activity and ensure alignment between PMR, cash data, and accounting records
•Identify and resolve discrepancies across teams
Financial Operations, Controls & Corporate Oversight:
•Establish and maintain strong financial controls and standardized processes across the Japan platform
•Oversee accounting, cash management, AR/AP, and closing for ManCo（Management Company） and OpCo（Operating Company）
•Review budget vs actuals for ManCo and OpCo and support fund requests to HQ
Team Development:
•Build and mentor a high-performing local finance and accounting team as the Japan platform continues to expand.

・上記SPC会計業務やファイナンスデータの分析 - 必要経験

①VPもしくはディレクターでの採用の場合
•7-10 years of progressive SPC accounting/finance experience, with a significant portion in institutional real estate, asset management, or hospitality in Japan
•Deep understanding of Japanese tax regulations and accounting standards
•Native or near-native Japanese, and professional business English
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; professional certifications such as CPA (Japan/US) or CFA are highly preferred.
•Strategic thinker with "hands-on" execution skills, comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

・3～5年のSPC会計経験
・日本語か英語どちらかがビジネスレベルであること - 予定年収
- ベース600万～2000万円+賞与(15％～50％)程度（経験・スキル・採用タイトルによる）
