- The Vice President, Senior Relationship Manager (RM) will be employed by our Japan office. Under the authority of our intermediary license, the RM is responsible for bringing new institutional business to our firm, primarily among institutional investors based in China. The RM’s territory will also include Hong Kong and Taiwan. This person will actively generate new leads, build relationships with decision makers and/or consultants, meet face to face, and present to prospective clients to close business.
・Sells our US-based investment management services to potential and/or existing Chinese, Hong Kong, Taiwanese institutional clients within the framework of the firm’s policies and local regulations
・Initiates direct contact with permitted prospects and clients by calling, emailing, setting and holding appointments in person
・Closes new business at levels specified by management
・Discusses prospective clients’ investment situations, objectives, goals and expectations
・Explains relevant our policies to clients and prospective clients
・Works closely with various internal departments on initiating and maintaining relationship with clients (including involvement overseeing and explaining client onboarding, servicing etc.)
・Maintains and updates internal databases clearly and accurately on communication activity with prospective clients and clients
・Gathers and relays information on the landscape of the assigned territory to management on an ongoing basis
・Operates and represents our and our Japan with the highest level of integrity and work ethic
- ・Bilingual in Mandarin and English required
・Japanese, Taiwanese, Cantonese a plus
・10 + years experience of financial sales and marketing demonstrated track record of success selling investment management to institutions are ideal
・Solid investment knowledge and ability to apply mathematical and financial concepts
・Ability to sustain high activity levels

Institutional Client Relations Associate ／ 世界有数の資産運用会社の日本拠点
- The Client Relations Associate team coordinates all client servicing activities and provides the central point of reference for internal and external contacts associated with a client relationship. Client Relations Associates are in constant communication with various internal departments to ensure client expectations are met or exceeded. This includes building effective and trusted relationships first and foremost with their partnering Sales Advisor(s), but also with research and portfolio management, marketing, product management, RFP, operations, client reporting, legal and compliance, among others.
・liaise with various internal business units to meet client and prospect needs;
・partner with the Sales Advisor(s) to strengthen relationships with clients and prospects;
・account management including new account opening/closing, guideline management;
・timely and accurate client reporting;
・client servicing and prospecting materials such as presentations and correspondence;
・coordination of business development activities including RFPs and DDQs;
・collaboration with colleagues in other business units, located both in Japan and regionally/globally, to successfully resolve client issues;
・maintenance of client files and databases.
Associates are expected to be fully trained and competent in dealing directly with clients, consultants and prospecting relationships in a knowledgeable and professional manner. They will be provided additional responsibility as they progress within the role, which may include management responsibility within the client servicing team from the perspectives of people management, additional client relationship management responsibilities, and department and firm-wide projects/initiatives.
This position reports to the Manager, Client Relations located in Tokyo.

・Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly organised and possess strong analytical, project management, communication (written and verbal), and organisational skills. Will be required to be capable of multitasking within tight time constraints, be able to work under pressure, and have the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team setting.
・Business-level English skills are critical to develop yourself in this opportunity.
・At least 3 years of professional work experience in client servicing activities for institutional business is required.
・A strong work ethic and ambition for responsibility is essential.
